Someone shared this on Facebook and the words spoke to me. My Mama would never use her nice things. The dishes Daddy bought her were in a China cabinet and used only at Thanksgiving. I remember Daddy asking my mama “Doris why don’t you use the dishes I bought you?" Once my Mama passed away I found so many lovely things wrapped in bubble wrap. Friends that’s why I use my special things. Life is too short. It gives me Joy to set a pretty table even on an ordinary day. Enjoy the beauty that has been given to you.
